Are Selina Knitts garments handmade?
Our garments are individually crafted in our small studio using a combination of machine knitting and traditional hand finishing. Once your order is placed, we begin carefully crafting your garment. While our knitwear is knitted using professional knitting machines to achieve exceptional precision and consistency, every piece is then meticulously linked, assembled, and hand stitched by our small team. This detailed finishing process requires many hours of skilled craftsmanship and ensures every garment meets our high standards of quality.
Many of our designs require extensive hand stitching and intricate finishing, making every piece highly labour-intensive and unique.
Rather than producing garments in large volumes, we intentionally create small batches and craft each order with care, allowing us to prioritise craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail over mass production.
Is Selina Knitts sustainable?
At Selina Knitts, we believe sustainability starts with thoughtful craftsmanship, not fast fashion.
Most of our garments are made to order in our small UK studio, helping to reduce overproduction and unnecessary waste. We also keep a small selection of ready-made pieces available for immediate dispatch while continuing to produce in small batches.
We primarily use natural fibres, including 100% Soft Cotton and 100% Mercerised Cotton, chosen for their quality, durability, and comfort.
By creating timeless knitwear in limited quantities, we design pieces to be worn, loved, and cherished for years to come.

Where are my garments made?
Every Selina Knitts garment is proudly designed and crafted in the United Kingdom by our dedicated team in our small studio. We intentionally produce in small batches to ensure every piece receives the time, care, and attention it deserves. By focusing on quality over quantity, we maintain the exceptional craftsmanship and finish that define every Selina Knitts garment.
What materials do you use?
We carefully select premium natural fibres that offer exceptional comfort, durability, and timeless quality. Our collections are primarily crafted using 100% Soft Cotton and 100% Mercerised Cotton, chosen for their luxurious feel, breathability, and long-lasting performance. How do I choose the right size?
Please refer to our Size Guide before placing your order. If you’re unsure which size is right for you, we’d be happy to help. Simply contact us before ordering for personalised sizing advice.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We proudly ship worldwide. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery destination. Please note that international customers may be responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by their country.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Every Selina Knitts garment is made to order. Once your order is placed, we begin carefully crafting your garment in our studio. Because each piece requires skilled construction, linking, and many hours of detailed hand finishing, production typically takes 5–6 weeks, depending on the number of orders we are creating at the time. Once your garment has been completed, carefully inspected, and packaged, it will be dispatched using your selected shipping method. If you require your order sooner for a special occasion or specific date, please email us before or immediately after placing your order. While we cannot guarantee expedited production, we will always do our best to accommodate urgent requests whenever possible.
Can I cancel or amend my order?
As we begin preparing your garment shortly after your order is placed, we can only accept cancellations or changes within a limited time. Please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to help if production has not yet begun.
What is your returns policy?
As every Selina Knitts garment is crafted specifically for your order and requires many hours of skilled hand finishing, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Our small team is committed to quality over quantity. Before your order leaves our studio, every garment undergoes a thorough quality inspection to ensure it meets our standards. As a result, damaged or faulty items are extremely rare. If your order arrives damaged or you believe there is a manufacturing fault, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the garment and its packaging. Once the issue has been reviewed, we will gladly arrange a replacement where appropriate. Thank you for supporting slow fashion, traditional craftsmanship, and a small independent studio. Every order allows us to continue creating thoughtfully made knitwear with care and intention.
How should I care for my knitwear?
To help preserve the beauty and longevity of your garment, we recommend:
- Machine wash 30 degrees
- Lay flat to dry.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Store folded rather than hanging to help maintain the garment’s shape.

Will my garment look exactly like the photographs?
Yes. We strive to represent every garment as accurately as possible. As each piece is individually crafted and hand finished, there may be very slight variations that reflect the handmade nature of the garment. These subtle differences are part of what makes every Selina Knitts piece unique.
